Who am I?
As a free-lance graphic designer, if I had to be labeled it would be probably as being "multi task". or being a "jack of all trade". There's almost no artistic domain I'm not into, in a way or another. From drawing on paper or computer, both 2D and 3D, to video and cinema through creative writing (screenplays, novels and songs) or even music, dance and sculpting might be the only art form I have nothing to do with. But regarding sculpture, that remains to be seen...
Where am I coming from?
After a painful scholarship - during which I eventually discovered I could hold a pencil well enough to go beyond the stick man in a doubtful perspective environment - up to my graduation in the Plastic Arts section, I got a DEUG (two years in college) of Art History, Cinema section, before attending to the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français in Paris which, if it is not the most renowned school in the country has the advantage of teaching how to make a film with a budget that is close to nothing.
the rest is divided between contracts on shows as backstage hand for the Théatre des Champs-Elysées and the IRCAM , purely alimentary interim contracts and the shooting of a few music videos and reports. In the meantime, I learned how to use tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design and Go live in the 2D field, Vue d'esprit, Blender and 3DStudio Max in the 3D field, Première Pro and After Effects in the video field. The result was that I decided to establish myself as a freelance graphic designer and video artist.
Where am i going? Onward.
or, like Pierre Dac said : "to the eternal triple question always left unanswered: «Who are we? Where are we coming from? Where are we going ?»I answer : «as far as I'm personally concerned, I'm me, I'm coming from home and I'm going back there»".
In the meantime were founded the Bad Smelling Socks, a band of world... er... local renown (mostly family and friends) with Stéphane Durand, glorious guitar player and composer and me, first on guitar then on bass. with time and the addition of a singer
and a drummer, the band was renamed eilean then clair-obscur, played a single gig and died in the aftermath. For more information about the band you can visit
Stéphane's website (in french). there are also very nice pictures to look at there.
Missed. But if you click on the ball you will have the proof that the guy I'm working with is not from Nantes after all but from a small planet somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse.
Nice try, but no. If you click though, you will see a picture I've made for a job. There's a pyramid in it... And you might recognise the street.
Yeah! Well done! you just found the 23 Mb pdf. Enjoy.
Missed again! But with a click you can see a picture of a 3D virtual exhibition I've been working on for quite some time now. I should try to find the time to finish it one day...
